Clark County Young Life

Who We Are

Young Life is a world-wide ministry that has been around since 1941, and is currently working with over 2 million people. We have existed in Clark County since the 1980s, and have leaders working with five local high schools.

Our leaders are local adults who care about kids. Leaders take time out of their lives as college students or full-time employees (and some with families!) to voluntarily spend time with our community's young people- just because they care.

Our Mission

Our mission statement is to "introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith." We believe every kid should know about the great love of God, and we want to share that with them. However, regardless of how a student responds, we want to continue to show up in their lives and be their friend- because we know kids need caring adults in their lives.

What We Do

Simply put, we show up. Our leaders go to local high schools to pass our donuts at arrival, cheer on the basketball team, watch musicals, coach track...whatever they can do to be present and build relationships. We don't expect kids to come to us- we go to them!

Adolescence can be a difficult time. Kids are trying to figure out who they are, what their purpose is and searching for meaning. We want to provide love, care and mentorship for them. We love them because Jesus first loved us- and we want them to know how loved they are!
